Reverend Charles Hercules Nicks Bobo, Sr., son of Rev. Dr. Ronald L. & Lady Darlean A. Bobo was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was licensed to preach the Gospel in 2000 and ordained in 2002 through the West Side Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Louis, Missouri.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. While matriculating at SEMO, he became a Campus Minister at the Baptist Student Center and started a ministry for African-American students. In 2003, Reverend Charles returned to Saint Louis to continue his education at Covenant Theological Seminary. It was there he received a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies.
Also in 2003, Reverend Charles was called to minister to the youth at the West Side Church where he served as Youth Pastor for six (6) years. In 2009, God led Reverend Charles to plant The Meeting Place Church in Saint Louis. After five (5) years of pastoring he returned to West Side where he serves as Minister of Christian Education and Associate Minister. On February 28, 2018, the West Side Missionary Baptist Church overwhelmingly voted that Reverend Charles would become Co-Pastor and then Senior Pastor at the Retirement of his father on January 13, 2019.
Pastor Charles is happily married to his beautiful wife Michelle. They have enjoyed sixteen (16) years of a loving marriage. They are the proud parents of four (4) beautiful children: Charles, Jr., Tara, Chase, and Chandler.
